Surprising Facts You Need To Know About Pregnancy/Breastfeeding Vitamins

The vitamins you take while pregnant can affect your WEIGHT GAIN (mind blowing)

Pregnancy vitamins

I have never liked taking pills.

But I sure did learn to embrace them when I was pregnant/breastfeeding! Lol

That was the most consistent I have ever been with taking pills and vitamins etc.

It made me actually stick with the habit until today.

vitamins and pregnancy

I knew that during pregnancy and while breastfeeding it would be of the utmost importance for me to take all the vitamins and supplements I needed to…

Because now it didn’t just affect me, it affected my baby as well.

I’m sure your doctor gave you a list of all the supplements you need to take while pregnant and breastfeeding.

If they didn’t, shame on them….

Because pregnancy is THE MOST IMPORTANT time to focus on ones health and there are SO MANY important vitamins and nutrients that we just don’t get in our diet (even if we eat super healthy) that can impact the baby’s well being.

Today, I want to give you a list of the vitamins that are essential for you to take while pregnant and breastfeeding and explain why and then you make a choice of what you take.

I know it sucks to take a million pills a day, but now is the time to be consistent with that.

A multivitamin gives you the extra vitamins and nutrients that you need for your baby to grow and develop correctly.

Most women (even the ones that eat super healthy), don’t get enough of the right nutrients through food.

This is why a multivitamin is extra important while pregnant and breastfeeding.

Folic Acid is a form of B Vitamin and it is incredibly important to take when trying to get pregnant and during pregnancy because it helps prevent some major birth defects of the baby’s brain and spine.

There is a different forms of folic acid and one is not good for you.. actually it may even increase the chances of getting a disease… I talk about that in the MPower Page, click Here

Please please please be careful and make sure you are taking the right supplements, it matters the most RIGHT NOW!

Folate is found in food. Foods that are naturally high in folate include leafy vegetables (such as spinach, broccoli, and lettuce), okra, asparagus, fruits (such as bananas, melons, and lemons) beans, yeast, mushrooms, meat (such as beef liver and kidney), orange juice, and tomato juice.

Vitamin B Complex

Taking all the B vitamins can be one of the best things you do while pregnant and postnatal.

When your body is in a state of stress, as it is during pregnancy and while nursing…. It uses up the B vitamins very quickly.

Which is why you feel so tired and fatigued.

Add in a dose of can’t sleep at night because you’re uncomfortable or peeing or up every 2 hours nursing, then you really are lacking in the B Vitamin department.

You know what else B vitamins help with?

It has to do with WEIGHT GAIN… primarily in ONE BODY PART.

I tell you all about that on the mPower page so check it out here.

When your body is in a state of stress as it is during pregnancy and postpartum, cortisol levels are really high.

I want to help you control your cortisol levels so that you don’t gain so much weight during pregnancy and also so that you have a WAY EASIER TIME LOSING IT postpartum.

Make sure to click here to see how MPower helps you with cortisol levels.

If that isn’t enough, guess what else B Vitamins help with?

Yep… I can’t tell you how many hundred of thousands of women I’ve helped reduce or get rid of morning sickness by simply taking B Vitamins.

Probiotics are great for digestion and for helping kill bad bacteria in your gut and help food run along the digestive tract.

So many pregnant and nursing moms get constipated because of hormones and such and probiotics help so much with that.

Probiotics & Weight gain:

Digestion is a huge process in the body and if we have too much inflammation in your gut or digestive tract because you eat fried foods, gluten, a lot of dairy, caffeine, sugar, etc. , then it is really hard to lose weight and easy to gain it.

Having a probiotic and/or digestive enzyme will help reduce inflammation in your gut so you can burn fat a lot easier.

If you are having stomach issues, bloating, gassiness, probiotics will help.

Check out the Supplement Facts on MPowers Nutrition Label here, so you can see how it can even help you with weight gain while pregnant and losing weight postpartum.

Fish Oil

I take fish oil, every single day and it is super important to take it while pregnant and breastfeeding.

Research has confirmed that adding EPA and DHA to the diet during pregnancy has a positive effect on visual and cognitive development of the baby.

Studies have also shown that higher consumption of fish oil may reduce the risk of allergies in infants. Fish oil has a positive effect on the pregnancy itself.

Fish oil also helps reduce inflammation and is a precursor to the burning fat hormone.

Having enough healthy fats makes you better able to lose fat.

And who doesn’t want to lose extra fat?

I know… it’s A LOT!

Who has the time, energy or memory to take all these pills everyday and most supplements you have to take several times a day.

Because I knew how hard this was, I wanted to make sure that if I was formulating a protein shake which in essence is a supplement…

That it would contain most of the supplements that we need during pregnancy and postpartum.

And that is exactly what I did.

mPower not only is a complete protein supplement.

It also has so many of the vitamins that you NEED to be taking while pregnant and breastfeeding or postnatal and its also going to help you not gain as much EXCESS WEIGHT and will also help you LOSE WEIGHT EASIER AND FASTER POSTPARTUM because it helps you at a “hormonal” level.
