One of my favorite DESSERTS is the warm chocolate raspberry walnut cake with vanilla ice cream from Bonefish Grill. When we go there, you know its CHEAT DAY! If I let myself, I could eat the entire cake all by myself.
For some reason, today I was thinking about that cake so instead of being a crazy person and driving to Bonefish for a cake at 2pm, I decided to make a PROTEIN SMOOTHIE with those flavors.
You know I LOVE TO EAT, so I don’t normally like to have a protein shake as a snack, but I have been getting inspired lately with these smoothies and I am really enjoying them. So I challenge you to give them a try, you may really enjoy these thick, creamy, rich, cold, healthy and yummy protein drinks.
So here it is………
Chocolate-Berry Goodness (1-2 Servings)
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- cold water (how much depends on consistency you want, start adding a little at a time)
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I use Prograde)
- 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
- 1 1/2 cups fresh spinach (I just had to)
- 2 tbsp walnuts
- Mix all ingredients in a blender and process until desired consistency.
