As a mother, I am always looking for ways to save time, especially in the kitchen. And as you all know, the crockpot has been my best friend for a few weeks now. I love it, you can make effortless, delicious and healthy meals in just minutes.
The other day I was in the mood for pasta and meatballs. How the heck do I make that healthy?
Well, I found this great recipe on Skinny Taste for meatballs and I made it over to be HEALTHY & FIT, so here it is. I served this with brown rice pasta, added some greens and it was one delicious, healthy and comforting meal. I urge you to try it, because it is insanely good.
By the way, before I give you the recipe, I just want to give you some tips that will help you with your weight loss and fitness goals.
Because it’s not just about cooking even though it’s a big part of it.
I have found that a lot of people are “STUCK” with their weight loss because they are eating some of the wrong foods.
So I have to make sure you are not eating one or more of foods on this list. Because if you are, it can be completely SABOTAGING your results. Yes, it can totally be true that you can be working your butt off at the gym 6 days a week, eating super healthy (as you think), but if you are eating one or more of these foods, you will NOT BE ABLE TO LOSE WEIGHT. Healthy Recipes: Red Crockpot Turkey Meatballs
- 2 lbs extra lean ground turkey breast
- few tbsp Reggiano Parmigiano cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup parsley, chopped
- 2 egg whites
- 6 large clove garlic, minced
- grill seasoning
- 2 tsp each of dried basil and oregano
- 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 bag fresh spinach
- 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 bay leaf
- grill seasoning to taste
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 cup fresh chopped basil
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, egg whites, basil parsley, garlic and cheese, oregano and grill seasoning.
- Make into small meatballs.
- In a crockpot, pour the can of tomatoes, bay leaf, dried seasonings and basil.
- Add in 1 bag of fresh spinach and stir well to incorporate.
- Place the meatballs on top and cover with a lid and turn on high and let sit for 4 hours.
