Healthy Recipe For Triple Berry Protein Shake

By now you know that I am a firm believer in having a post-workout shake.  So I hope you have been using all the yummy and healthy recipes of Shakes and Smoothies on My Pinterest Boards because if you are not taking advantage of those, you are crazy.

Anyhow, I love to have these shakes post-workout also, because its the best time to have fruit.  Your body is replenished super fast with the simple sugars from the fruit so you replenish the glycogen stores that were depleted from the workout much faster.  So best time to have some fruit is post-workout and what better way than in a delicious and refreshing protein smoothie.

Todays healthy recipe is awesome because not only is it super tasty but its very healthy.  It basically just has tons of different berries which are by the way incredibly good for you.  This one should be at the top of your list.

Here are 2 great Health Benefits of Berries:

  • Incredibly high in antioxidants which helps protect us from free radicals that cause tons of disease.
  • Slow the aging process (how awesome is that).

I had this Triple Berry Shake yesterday after my workout and enjoyed it so much.  Then I went home for a healthy snack about an hour later.  I had a vegetarian meal…. My Eggplant and Goat Cheese recipe from My Eat To Be Fit Healthy Recipes Book.  Its so good that I don’t even miss the protein.  Yeah….. thats a bid deal coming from me.  The roasted eggplant gets so golden and sweet its like candy, I love it.  And you would love it too, along with the 300 other yummy and healthy recipes from my book.

Healthy Recipe For Triple Berry Protein Shake

  • 1 cup almond milk + water to desired texture
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, (I use Prograde)
  • 2 tbsp each of frozen raspberries, strawberries and blueberries
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds


  1. Blend all ingredients together and serve cold.
