Healthy Pregnancy Breakfast

Are you having breakfast consistently this pregnancy?

I know that breakfast can be hard during pregnancy because you may have morning sickness or aversions to breakfast food.

But I want to encourage you to challenge yourself to have a healthy breakfast.

It can actually be the thing that helps you get rid of morning sickness.

A lot of times women get morning sickness because they go so much time without eating (while sleeping). The emptying feeling with the stomach acids creates morning sickness.

You may not feel like, it but most of the time pregnant women feel better after having breakfast.

Eating breakfast will also give you energy to get your day going. It will help curb cravings so it’s easier to eat healthy.

Eating breakfast also jumpstarts your metabolism so you can burn more calories all day long.

This helps with preventing EXCESS weight gain.

This healthy pregnancy breakfast recipe is super yummy and its easy to make.

I love recipes like this that you can pre-make on a day/time you are feeling good so that during the week when you may not feel like it or not feel great, you can just throw a muffin in the microwave for 30 seconds and breakfast is served!

If you are anything like me, mornings are crazy busy.

I have 2 kids with 2 different drop off times and I also need to get my workout done, beds made and house organized before my work day starts.

One thing that has saved me on weekdays is PRE-MAKING breakfast on the weekends.

If you follow me on Instagram @michellemariefit which is where I post more lifestyle content in stories, you probably see that I pretty much make my protein oatmeal pancakes every.single.week.

The kids love them and they are easy to make.

I actually have them as a pre-workout meal and sometimes for snacks.

I make a huge batch and put them in a Tupperware and then on most weekdays, we throw them in the microwave for 45 seconds and a YUMMY, HEALTHY AND QUICK BREAKFAST is served.

But I thought I would try something else last week.

I actually meant to make these chocolate chip muffins as a snack, but the kids loved them so much, they asked for them for breakfast.

So for the last few days we have been having a muffin for breakfast.

It literally tastes like dessert, they are soooooo good and they were crazy easy to make.

This is a perfect healthy breakfast for pregnancy because it has protein, healthy carbs and healthy fats so you get tons of great nutrients in that are good for the baby.

Protein is especially important because its how your baby’s tissues and organs grow and develop them which is why during pregnancy, you need to eat more protein.

Women don’t realize just how important the food you eat while pregnant is for the health and proper development of the baby.

NUTRITION MATTERS NOW (WHILE PREGNANT) MORE THAN EVER!

So of course, I added the magic ingredient (mPowerthat makes it taste yummier and also adds protein to them so that it can kill hunger, make us feel fuller, hold us over to the next meal and crush cravings.

mPower also has a medical grade, doctor formulated multivitamin in the protein which makes this powder extra special and beneficial.

So, every time you add the protein to anything, you are adding great vitamins to your food.

Ok, here’s the recipe!
