Double Chocolate Chip Protein Cookies

Cookies are my jam because they make me feel like I’m having a treat.

If you know me, you know I love chocolate and so usually some sort of chocolate is a must in my healthy baked treats.

So you can imagine these double chocolate chip cookies…. how happy they make me.

The amazing thing is that for being double chocolate, they are not too sweet. They are actually just right.

If you know me, you also know that I truly believe that the trick to crushing cravings, and eating healthy more consistently and NOT binge eating, is having snacks in between meals.

It’s not letting your blood sugar get too low, which happens when more than 3-4 hours go by without eating.

Because when you have low blood sugar, your body is SCREAMING FOR SUGAR.

It is very very very hard to have will power at that point.

So having a “planned” healthy snack to have in between meals is a huge life saver and will help you eat better more consistently.

I also will have one when I have a craving for something sweet.

I can normally just have one and be done. Craving over, it is out of my head and I’m done.

So I literally always have some sort of a healthy baked cookie, muffin, bar, pancake in my fridge.

I do have some store bought keto snacks I have tried lately that are really great in case of an emergency when I don’t have something baked or I ran out.

I will share those with you here as well.

mPower Protein Shake, is also another option for me when I don’t have healthy baked snacks made.

Sometimes, I have it even if I do because I CRAVE IT.

Super weird, because as I’ve told you, I am a CHOCOLATE kinda girl.

And mPower is vanilla….. BUTTTTTT….. It is the best dang tasting vanilla I have ever had in my life and I think that’s why I crave it so much and it also really hits that sweet tooth when I have it.

Check out this post about 5 healthy desserts you can have to help combat cravings.

The ladies have been loving it with their coffee 🙂

Ok, so here are the 3 store bought chocolate snacks I love and then I will give you the recipe.

Add in the oatmeal, mPower and Stevia and mix well.

Fold in the chocolate chips and dollup onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and bake for ~14 minutes.

Ok, I hope you get these cookies.

Its also a great way to increase your protein intake which I know is so hard to do.

If you make them, be sure to snap a pic and post it and tag me on FB or IG.

I love seeing you guys make my recipes and enjoy them.

It totally makes my day like you have no idea when you tag me and share your results.

P.S. If you haven’t tried mPower, go for it. I promise, you won’t regret it. It is the most delicious protein you have ever tasted… by itself with just water or milk, as a smoothie blended with some fruit, in your coffee as creamer and even in baked cookies like this one.
