Chocolate Chip Bars [Gluten-Free]

If you are a chocolate kinda girl, you are gonna love this recipe.

You know me… I love all things chocolate.

I don’t care too much for any other sweets, but I am a sucker for chocolate chip.

My kids loved this one! So, be sure your entire family tries it.

Warning… you may end up having to make 2 at a time.

I made one batch the first time and it was gone in 2 days. So, I made more.

​These are actually more like squares than bars, but they are super moist and perfectly sweet and have a good combo of protein, healthy carbs and healthy fat so they are satisfying and filling.

​Filling is important to me. I like to make sure when I eat a meal or snack that it holds me over to the next meal at least 3 hours.

What I’ve realized about myself and also hundreds of thousands of other ladies I’ve worked with is that if you try to eat a tiny little meal or snack then you don’t really feel satisfied and full and end up snacking more in between meals and end up consuming even more calories than if you just had a good meal or snack in that time.

That’s why it’s important to have protein in every meal or snack because protein helps you feel fuller longer and it also shuts down the hunger hormone.

This recipe, I added mPower Protein Powder to make sure it had enough protein. There are so many ways to incorporate mPower into your recipes, like this one.

Chocolate Chip Bars [Gluten-Free]

18 Squares


🍪4 cups oats (I use gluten-free)

🍪1 cup almond butter

🍪1/4 cup almond milk

🍪1tsp vanilla extract

🍪1 1/2 cups mashed bananas or unsweetened applesauce

🍪3 scoops mPower Protein Powder

🍪4 packets Stevia or Monk Fruit

🍪1/2 cup chocolate chips (I use dairy free)


🍪Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

🍪In a large bowls mash the bananas (applesauce is good too, I rather the banana).

🍪Mix in the almond butter , extract and almond milk and mix well.

🍪Add in the mPower, Stevia and oats and mix until well incorporated.

🍪Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a few for the top.

🍪Grease a 8×8 baking dish with coconut oil or avocado oil or spray and pour the 🍪mixture in.

🍪Sprinkle with the leftover chocolate chips.

🍪Bake for ~ 15-18 minutes or until done.
