Have you been getting any food aversions?
I did, I got some aversions to protein the first trimester of both my pregnancies.
But I quickly fixed those like this.
You know, so many women use pregnancy as a means to over eat, eat what they want and in turn they end up gaining a ton of weight, being very uncomfortable and achy all pregnancy and end up not being able to lose the baby weight. Check out this post on EATING FOR 2 DURING PREGNANCY.
I get it, its hard sometimes.
I mean you may not be feeling well, you may have tons of aversions, but truthfully, a lot of that stuff is all in your head.
And if you tell yourself and keep telling yourself that you feel good and you are going to have a happy and healthy pregnancy with no bad cravings, you will see that you will do exactly that.
I’m telling you from experience. With both my pregnancies I did this and felt great, no cravings, no excess weight… Just felt great.
And I work with thousands upon thousands of pregnant women on a daily basis who do my Fit Mom-To-Be Workouts and they get amazing results as well.
I do find that sometimes the body asks you for certain foods but usually because its nutrients your body needs. I remember wanting oranges for example…. I knew my body was needing extra vitamin C.
So, that does happen. But to say your body needs ice cream and pizza…….. Not so much! That my friend, is all in your head and if you give in all the time……. I promise, I promise, you will regret it.
It’s not worth it.
If you do that all pregnancy, you will gain a ton of weight which will make pregnancy so much harder and then you will have such a hard time losing the weight.

Now, sometimes, you will want something refreshing and sweet and this recipe is just that.
You can have this in place of one of the “SNACKS” from the Nutrition Guide.
I promise you are going to love this so much. Its so yummy.
Check out this delicious little cup of fresh berries and yogurt that I made.
And it is a PROTEIN PACKED snack.
You can make a few of these and keep them in your fridge for when you need or want to have a snack. I used too make 6 at a time and would have one daily.
Being prepared all the time with healthy snacks and meals is the best way to ensure that you will stay on track with your “PREGNANCY DIET”.
Its a lot harder to binge or eat something “BAD”, when you have good options in your fridge. But when you have nothing, and the hunger shows up, it is really hard to have WILL POWER as well as you may feel sick.
So save yourself from feeling fatigued, cranky and sick, and prep a few snacks once a week and have them ready for when its time to eat.
By the way, I give you 8 Tips To Not Gaining Excess Weight During Pregnancy in this post. I think you will benefit tons from it. I talk about the importance of prepping snacks and meals during your pregnancy and how much that can prevent you from over eating. You gotta read that one.
Even during pregnancy, I made a healthy MENU every week and I would plan out all my meals and snacks and do my grocery shopping once a week. I am always prepared because that is the key to getting good and consistent results. And I did all that work for you in the Nutrition Guide, so make sure you download it, print it and put it in your kitchen.
I would take my Eat To Be Fit Healthy Recipes Book and I look through it and pick out my DINNERS for every day of the week. Then I make extra so that I have left over’s for lunch the next day. And in the snacks section or on My Pinterest Boards, I would find a Healthy Snack Recipe and I also make that.
Make sure to “FOLLOW” all my boards on PINTEREST. As I have tons of amazing healthy snack recipes for you to try and enjoy and also everything you can imagine about pregnancy.
And remember, NEVER SKIP A MEAL. Don’t let more than 4 hours go by without eating or you will be in trouble with low blood sugar, CRAVINGS and you will end up feeling sick.
And if you have nothing prepped, have a PROTEIN BAR. Always keep some handy. But most bars are full of excuse my language….. CRAP. But I did find one that is 100% healthy and even safe to have during pregnancy.
Its actually made with 100% natural ingredients, no GMO’s, organic and low in carbs… and did I say DELICIOUS? Try them, and they always have some sort of a special (you can only get them online). My favorite flavor is GRAHAM CRACKER. Here is the link: DALE PROTEIN BARS.
Here is the recipe, make sure to add it to your pregnancy diet. Its delicious and insanely easy to make.
Yogurt Parfait For Your Pregnancy Diet

Blueberry Granola Yogurt Parfait
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup plain Greek Yogurt
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon + more for sprinkling
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/4 cup Muesli (I used Bob’s Red Mill)
- 1/2 scoop vanilla Protein Powder (I use PROGRADE).
Instructions
- Put the berries in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for about 1-2 minutes or until the berries are melted and sort of look like jelly.
- Let cool and meanwhile in small bowl mix the yogurt with vanilla, protein powder and cinnamon.
- Set aside and in a small skillet toast the muesli with a little cinnamon until golden brown and toasty.
- Set aside and let cool.
- To assemble, pour a little of the blueberries into 2 small cups.
- Then place a few heaping tablespoons of the yogurt mixture in each.
- Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and a few tablespoons of the muesli.
- Pour the rest of the yogurt on each cup, reserving a few dollups for the top.
- Divide the rest of the blueberries between the two cups and top with a dollup of yogurt on each and a sprinkle of muesli.
- Keep refrigerated.
Seriously, this is not only a gorgeous snack but its packed with nutrients, protein and so good for you and baby. Its also incredibly delicious and probably took me about 5 minutes total to make.
