4 Tips To Help You NOT “OverEat”

To lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you consume.

The biggest reason women have a hard time losing weight is because even while they are exercising… they are eating too much.

Most of the times its not even eating “bad foods”.

A lot of time its eating too much.


So, today, I want to share with you some tips to help you not over eat so that you can actually lose weight from your efforts to eat healty and exercise.

Ok, back to the tips.

4 Tips to Not Over Eat

  1. Don’t let yourself get hungry.
  2. Serve yourself in a smaller plate.
  3. Don’t eat distracted.
  4. If indulging in something “not healthy”.. don’t eat out of the bag, container, can, etc.

1. Don’t Let Yourself Get Hungry

If you do, you will be playing catch up all day and the normal portion that should fill you up, will not fill you up and you WILL over eat.

Eating hungry is always a bad idea.

Try to eat your meals before you get hungry.

​This is why I always recommend you bake a batch or too of healthy snacks so you have for on the go and in between meals so you don’t get hungry.

2. Serve Yourself In A Smaller Plate

This will force you to eat a smaller serving which will end up making you consume less calories.

This is especially good if you are a big eater and tend to eat bigger portions.

Eating from a smaller plate will help you begin to see and feel what smaller portions feel and should look like.

3. Don’t Eat Distracted

This is a huge one and one that I tend to have a hard time with.

Don’t judge…. but sometimes, I will eat sitting on the computer or watching TV and when you eat mindlessly, your brain doesn’t register that you ate and you tend to not get full and want to eat more.

Take your time eating, savoring and enjoying your food mindfully.

This seems silly but it makes a big difference.

4. Don’t Eat Out of Packages or Containers

This is more for when you are allowing yourself to indulge.

Here’s an example:

I love chocolate covered almonds.. I mean… love… especially the Costco ones lol

A huge mistake is taking the container of almonds and sitting on the couch and eating from it.

I will eat 10 times more this way.

A better way, is to take a little espresso cup or a little handful and put on a plate and eat from there and then just commit to be done after you finish that.

If you don’t diet, and just eat a little less than you have been… YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT.
