I know you are wondering if you should work your core during pregnancy. The truth is you actually need to! That is if you don’t want to end up with lower back pain all pregnancy and a huge pooch that doesn’t go away after pregnancy. So, today, I want to share with you a safe core pregnancy exercise you can do at home.
During pregnancy, the organs and muscles in the belly distend as the baby grows.
If you don’t do safe core pregnancy exercises that help you keep the muscles from over distending, you will end up with a pooch even if you lose ALL your baby weight.
You’ve seen it a million times before.
A girl that is thin, looks good, looks in shape but then from the side looks like she’s 5 months pregnant.
That is what happens when you don’t do exercises you really should be doing during pregnancy.
There aren’t a ton of safe core pregnancy exercises, but there are a few really good ones.
I put at least one safe core pregnancy exercise in all my workouts in my Fit Mom To Be Pregnancy Workout Program.
Not only did I see amazing results myself during both my pregnancies, but I have also worked with THOUSANDS of pregnant women who have had similar results.
Really, my friend, working the core safely during pregnancy will literally transform you after pregnancy.

It will take you about 10-15 minutes and it will help you tons.
But make sure you are working out your whole body.
I know you’re tired and fatigued, but even just 3 – 20 minute workouts a week will help you so much to control weight gain, gain less weight, feel more energized, sleep better and then be able to lose your baby weight soooooooo much faster.
I lost mine in 6 weeks (by the time I went in for my first checkup), and then in about 3-4 months, I was in the best shape of my life.

Incline Leg Raises
- You can do these 1 leg at a time which is easier.
- You can also do these with 2 legs at a time which is a bit more advanced.
- When single let becomes easier, you can do them double legs.
- Try 10 per side or 20 double.
