As we all know, in order to speed metabolism and burn calories all day long, you have to eat every few hours.

Well, how the heck do we find the time to cook 5-6 meals every day?  

You don’t!  You pre-make all your snacks and make extras of your meals so that you are stacked with great options for the whole day in no extra time than you normally take to cook.

This is why I am always working hard to find you great healthy recipes.  And today I have a great healthy snack for you.  Its a healthy recipes makeover.  I found this one from an awesome girl called Katie from Dashing Dish, and I tweaked it and made it even better than it already is.  

Make a bunch of these at once and store them in your fridge for a great on the go snack or even a great healthy snack at home with a delicious warm cup of coffee! Yum!  I also love the have my Chunky Monkey Protein Muffins.  My kids love these, I make them almost every week.  You will not even believe they are so healthy when you try them, but they are 100% healthy and gluten-free.

My kids love these.  Sometimes they have them for breakfast and sometimes for snack.

By the way, before I give you these recipes, I have to make sure you are not eating one or more of foods on this list.  Because if you are, it can be completely SABOTAGING your results.  Yes, it can totally be true that you can be working your butt off at the gym 6 days a week, eating super healthy, but if you are eating one or more of these foods, you will NOT BE ABLE TO LOSE WEIGHT.  So no matter how many meals you eat a day in an attempt to SPEED METABOLISM in order to burn calories all day long, if you are eating these 5 Foods, you will not lose weight.

Healthy Snack Recipes:  Pumpkin Protein Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop protein powder (I use Prograde)
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin 
  • 1 tsp cinnamon 
  • 1 tsp pumpkin spice 
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup gluten- free oats
  • 1/2 cup + 2tbs water
  • 2 packets stevia 

Instructions:

  • Put all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth!
  • Meanwhile, heat a nonstick griddle or large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray (coconut oil spray if you can) over medium heat. 
  • Use an ice cream scooper to scoop the batter into griddle or skillet to make the same size pancakes. 
  • When the pancakes start to bubble, flip them over and cook until done. The seconds side cooks much faster.

Everyone always asks me what oatmeal I use, Bobs Red Mill gluten-free oats is what I use.

I know that some weeks its hard to make all these snacks or maybe you run out of them.  I mean, it happens to me sometimes.  So I always make sure to have DALE PROTEIN BARS in my fridge.  They are the only protein bars that I will eat and recommend to my clients and that is because they are made of 100% natural ingredients.  They are organic, there are no GMO’s and they taste freakin delicious.  My favorites are Vanilla Cashew, Graham Cracker and Fudge Brownie.  So good!  I usually get 2 boxes at at time since you can only get them online.  I put one box in my freezer and one box in my fridge.  You have to keep them in the fridge or they spoil since they are made of real food.

This way I’m never stuck without a healthy option and I can keep my metabolism up.  

I also hate to feel hungry and I find that when I do get hungry, I tend to over eat for the next meal.  So I really try to never let myself get hungry.  So I pretty much always have a Dale’s Bar in my purse for “just in case”.

You may want to try them.  Its so hard to find a Protein Bar that isn’t full of crap.  These are the only ones I will eat.  Check out the flavors here:  Dales Protein Bars.

Listen, I know that it’s super hard to eat healthy on a consistent basis and that most of the time you don’t even know what to eat nor feel like you have the time to make healthy meals every day.  And truthfully, thats the only way you will lose weight and reach your goals.  Its all about the eating.  But most people don’t even know what the right foods to eat are.

If this is you, if you want to lose weight and you are frustrated because you feel like you’ve tried so many different ways, and nothing works.  Maybe you need a meal plan that is more of a lifestyle and not so much of a diet that deprives you of calories and ends up leaving you bingeing after a few weeks and miserable because you are hungry all the time and not enjoying the “diet food”.

My meal plans are the total opposite of that.  The cool thing is that the meals are actually insanely delicious and extremely effective at burning fat.  The ladies on my BeFit Moms Meal Plan do amazing.  They lose about 2-6 lbs a week and they never feel deprived.  Its truly a way of life, because if you can’t stick to it on a consistent basis,then you really can’t get results.
