Healthy Snack Recipe For Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Bar

I am always trying to come up with ways to make it easier for us to get better results, tricks that will help us be fit and fabulous but also not be miserable and deprived.  So here is my new one……….

Every Friday, I make one or two of my favorite Tasty & Healthy Snacks and I leave them in my fridge to enjoy during the weekend.  Most of these recipes are so good that you don’t even feel like they are healthy. So basically, you feel like you are having a treat even though its good for you.  By the way, you can find all these recipes on My Pinterest Board for Tasty & Healthy Snacks.  Seriously, try them, you will not regret investing the time in it. 

You know how much I love chocolate chip cookies, but with healthy recipes like the one I’m giving you today, I don’t even feel like I need them.  Eating a few pieces of something like this gluten-free chocolate chip bar with a good cup of coffee makes me feel like I’m having a treat SANS THE GUILT. So, try this technique, I promise it will help you eat cleaner while enjoying the yummy food.

By the way, before I give you the recipe, I just want to give you some tips that will help you if you are trying to lose weight, get leaner, get more definition, feel more energy, get healthier, and more toned.

Because it’s not just about cooking even though it’s a big part of it.

I have found that a lot of people are “STUCK” with their weight loss because they are eating some of the wrong foods.

So I have to make sure you are not eating one or more of foods on this list.  Because if you are, it can be completely SABOTAGING your results.  Yes, it can totally be true that you can be working your butt off at the gym 6 days a week, eating super healthy (as you think), but if you are eating one or more of these foods, you will NOT BE ABLE TO LOSE WEIGHT.  The reason is because these foods though some may think are healthy or not so bad, are actually very inflammatory.

Inflammation in the digestive track makes it incredibly hard if not impossible to burn fat. So in order to be able to burn fat so you can lose weight effectively, its crucial that you take these foods out of your diet.

Ingredients
  1. 2 cups oats (I use Gluten-Free)
  2. 1 cup almond butter
  3. 2 tbsp agave nectar
  4. /2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  5. 2 tbsp. dairy free and gluten free chocolate chips
  6. 1 cup vanilla protein powder (I use Prograde)
  7. 1 tbsp. cinnamon
  8. 2 tbsp Flax meal
Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. You may have to use your hands to mix and incorporate well.
  3. Place in a 8 x 11 baking dish lined with parchment paper and bake at 350 degrees for about 18 minutes or until done.
