Healthy Snack Ideas 

I know how hard it is to get 5-6 meals in every day.  But I also know how important it is to do so in order to speed metabolism so that you can burn calories all day long.  So that is why I want to give you a bunch of healthy snack ideas today.

If you can get 3 good meals in and 2 snacks, you will be on the right track and turn into a fat burning machine.

Well, if they are good options of course 🙂

Time-Saving Cooking Tip

When you cook dinner, make double of what you normally make that way you have lunch for the next day and even extra’s for snacks.

So there you go, now with one time of cooking you have lunch and dinner.

I know that you are busy.  

You probably have kids, you work, after school activities, laundry, cleaning, cooking, etc.  So I want to make this as easy as possible.  But I also want to give youths of options depending on what you need.  

So I am going to give you a bunch of quick on-the-go healthy snacks that you don’t need to cook for and I will also give you a bunch of recipes for super delicious and healthy snacks that you can bake.  

Healthy Baked Snacks

I actually love food and love to eat so I like to eat snacks that are really yummy, that fill me up and make me feel satisfied.  I am a chocolate lover!

So I take 2 days a week to bake.  It takes me no more than 10 minutes usually and the rest is oven time.  I usually bake on Sundays and Thursdays and this keeps me with healthy and yummy snacks for the whole week.  Actually, my kids love most of these healthy baked snacks as well.  I put some in my 5-year olds lunch, and he loves them.

When I run out, I normally have a Dale’s Protein Bar, which are the only protein bars I will actually eat because they are so healthy and are made of 100% natural ingredients.  So its actually like eating real food.  So if you want to check those out, here is the link, you can only order these online cuz they bake them and send them out.   So amazing!

Ok, so here are some really easy healthy snack ideas.  I will start off with the NON-Cooking/Baking ones.

Healthy Snack Ideas

  • Raw Veggies with Hummus
  • Raw Veggies or Fruit with Nut Butter (Almond, Cashew, Sun… No Peanut Butter please)
  • Hard-Boiled Egg Whites and Guacamole or Avocado
  • Fruit and Hard-Boiled Egg Whites
  • Fruit and Nuts (almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds, etc)
  • Hard-Boiled Egg Whites and Nuts
  • Sushi or Sashimi (can get at grocery store or restaurant)
  • Protein Bar (I only eat Dale’s Protein Bars)
  • Protein Shakes (I only drink Prograde)

Egg Quiches

Protein Smoothies

Protein Cookies:  Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies, Blueberry Chocolate Chip Cookies, Cinnamon Glazed Almond Cookies

What I do, is I go there on Saturdays when I make my meal plan for the week and I pick 2 recipes and I write them in my meal plan and I jot down all the ingredients in my Shopping List.

Preparation is key to getting great results.

That is why I even follow my own MMF Healthy Meal Plans.  I love that I don’t have to think about it, but I have my weekly meal plans and menu’s and delicious recipes and shopping lists already made.  It makes eating healthy and sticking to a plan so much easier.

If you want them, you can get them too, the recipes in the MMF Healthy Meal Plans are insanely delicious and easy to make.

Take the time weekly to think about what you will have for snacks and make sure to put the ingredients in a shopping list.  This has helped me tremendously.  When you miss your snacks, it makes you ravenously hungry for the next meal and then you tend to over eat.  That is when you either GAIN WEIGHT or CAN’T LOSE IT.

Not worth it.

Make sure to eat every few hours to keep your metabolism up and help you not have low blood sugar which causes cravings.  

I am always prepared.  Its one of the keys to my success.

I am now in the best shape of my life and that has helped me tons.  I am in better shape now after 2 kids than ever before.  And being prepared and following a plan has helped me so much.  That and taking some foods out of my diet completely.
