The biggest mistake you can make with your “diet” is skip a meal. Not only will you be slowing metabolism but you will probably end up over eating later on or bingeing. Eating often helps increase metabolism which makes you burn calories all day long. It also helps you stay full by stabilizing blood sugar.
When too much time goes by without eating, you have low blood sugar. Guess what happens when you have low blood sugar?
Yep, you got that right girl! You CRAVE SUGAR. And once you have low blood sugar it is very very very hard to not give in to the cravings. So take my advice, and don’t allow yourself to get hungry. Eat a small healthy meal or snack every 3-4 hours and you will have stable blood sugar and less cravings. Then it is much easier to have strong will power.
So, I know you are busy and I don’t expect you to cook 6 meals a day, that is why I am giving you this healthy recipe for these pumpkin protein cookies. These are so good and so healthy but you won’t believe that they are healthy. That is how good these are. Make these and you can have 3 as a snack and you will feel satisfied and healthy. They are great for on the go also.

By the way, before I give you the recipe, I just want to give you some tips that will help you if you are trying to lose weight, get leaner, get more definition, feel more energy, get healthier, and more toned.
Because it’s not just about cooking even though it’s a big part of it.
I have found that a lot of people are “STUCK” with their weight loss because they are eating some of the wrong foods.
So I have to make sure you are not eating one or more of foods on this list. Because if you are, it can be completely SABOTAGING your results. Yes, it can totally be true that you can be working your butt off at the gym 6 days a week, eating super healthy (as you think), but if you are eating one or more of these foods, you will NOT BE ABLE TO LOSE WEIGHT. The reason is because these foods though some may think are healthy or not so bad, are actually very inflammatory.
Inflammation in the digestive track makes it incredibly hard if not impossible to burn fat. So in order to be able to burn fat so you can lose weight effectively, its crucial that you take these foods out of your diet.

Gluten-Free Pumpkin Protein Cookies
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 2 tbsp coconut oil + 1 tsp
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup quinoa flakes
- 1/3 cup almond meal
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use BB3 Formula 1)
- 1/3 cup walnuts, chopped
- 2 tbsp chocolate chips (gluten-free and dairy-free) OPTIONAL
- Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a bowl mash the bananas with the coconut oil and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl mix the rest of the ingredients except the walnuts and chocolate chips.
- Mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix well.
- Fold in the walnuts and chocolate chips.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and drop about a tablespoon full of the mixture and bake for ~ 12 minutes or until golden brown on the top.
Also, great idea to take these with you when you are meeting a friend at a coffee shop or the park or a play date. This way you will eat something healthy and you will feel like its a treat because they are that good. You won’t miss the double chocolate chunk cookies from Starbucks, I promise!
